Hello January!
Happy new year! I'm eternally grateful to God for bringing all of us into this new year. I hope everyone would see this year as a wrapped birthday present. You know how you are excited when you receive a wrapped present. You don't know what is inside but you're excited and expectant. You're aware that you might be disappointed but it doesn't take a way the optimism of getting the best.
This year, say no to negativism. Look forward to each new day, seeing it as a new opportunity to make a difference, build yourself internally and externally and explore the chances life throws at you.
At the AIESEC HQ I saw a picture that said, "F**k Mediocrity". I was a bit stunned at the use of the curse word, I won't lie, but after much thought, I realized that in order to move forward, indeed mediocrity needed to be shunned and there was no better way to put the message out there. Make a conscious effort to be different. To be you're own kind of you.
"The female body is beautiful. Paint all over it"
~Sisiano
Ever since I read this, I couldn't get it out of my system. Indeed the female body is beautiful. You are beautiful. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Everyone has flaws. Don't dwell on yours. Find your "selling-point" and work with it.
This year, try to discover what you're good at and become better at it. You love sewing? Then take lessons. You can't afford it? Read and Practice until you get it right. This applies to everything.
I don't want to come out here and seem like the perfect person telling you what to do or anything because I'm as imperfect and anyone out there. I can only strive to be better. You can too. You know why? You're the best of you out there.
So welcome...
