I’ve mentioned before that this was my first event so I’m not really sure if I got it right. I would love to know what you think about the post and if I got the right pictures.
The Retro Showoff 2015
The Retro Showoff 2015 was an event that took place on the 2nd of August 2015. I was basically a platform set up by the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria to allow young desighers and merchants show off their love for African fashion. The Retro showoff showcased brands of some amazing fashion designers such as Regalia, The Potters Signature, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, La Penza Courture, but to mention a few. I spotted a few bloggers and photographers. I concluded they were bloggers from their personas: The dress sense, The way they hung cameras from their shoulders and what not.
My long time close friend Ijenna Osuji of Mira La Belle was also in attendance. I invited her to the show because it was my first event, I didn’t want to be alone, and I just recently embraced teaming up with fashion forward people in order to move forward.
The event was interesting. I got the chance to window shop and appreciate Nigerias rich and vibrant fashion culture. I gotta say, Nigerian youths have a lot of talent up their sleeves. I also got a chance to meet some of my friends and make new friends. I finally got to meet and spend time with one of Nigerias freshest but talented photographers who also has a website and blog- Prince of Prince Nuel Photography .
